Northwestern IT Resources

• You can find detailed information on the IT infrastructure at Northwestern on the Northwestern IT website.

• Canvas is a learning management system used in most Northwestern classes. It lets instructors and students share course materials, submit assignments and tests, post and view grades.
• To register for courses, you need to use the Northwestern student record management system, called Caesar. The schedule of Computer Science classes is available here.
• GSTS is a system used by the Graduate School to keep track of student academic progress. Graduate students should use this system to submit annual reports, schedule qualifying and final exams, and file petitions.
• Northwestern student emails are hosted by Google. Students also have access to Google’s G Suite apps. You can find more information about GMail and G Suite here.
• Northwestern University has licences for Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, Wolfram Mathematica, and other useful software packages. You can find the list of software titles available to Northwestern students here.
• Northwestern uses Zoom for most remote classes and meetings.
• eduroam is a service that allows Northwestern students to access WiFi networks in most universities around the world.
